Taking place at Bristol Institute of Modern Music in association with Guitar Techniques Magazine.
Based largely on his work as a popular tutor at the IGF Guitar Festival in Bath, this full day workshop will take you through all aspects of the style that first inspired Aynsley to pick up the guitar - blues.
Students will cover lead playing from phrasing, bending and improvising, looking at keeping spontaneity and giving solos a direction aswell as rhythm and slide playing with left and right hand techniques, damping, groove and timing. Aynsley uses a very aural method of teaching and doesn’t use scales or theory. If you’re stuck in a rut with your guitar playing this is the perfect workshop for you to move up to that next level. Wherever you’re at, you will come away a better player with a completely fresh approach to playing the blues – the way the old guys did it!
