Well, after a major, £multi-million re-do, 153A High St, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 1PL, otherwise known as Stockton Globe is set to re-open its doors for the first time since 1990.

This Grade II listed Art Deco theatre opened in 1935 and was highly rated back in the day, with a capacity of around 2,500 and attracted the likes The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Morecambe and Wise, The Bee Gees, Roy Orbison, T-Rex and Shirley Bassey to name but a few, back in the 1960s. What acts the now 3,000 seater will attract these days remains to be seen, though booking are being taken for a Paloma Faith show next year.

If the government want musicians to retrain in Cyber; does that mean we’ll be awash with Kraftwerk tribute bands..
