Ok, this wasn’t a cover but the intro song for The Milkmen at Hartlepool Supporters club on Saturday
Ernie, The fastest milkman in the west, Benny Hill of course.
The band did do very good renditions of Oh Well and Pinvall Wizard though. And with all merch a fiver, cane away with two albums of originals.

Could you “hear the hoof beats pound as they raced across the ground
and the clatter of the wheels as they spun round and round”..?

No, that’s on Sunday morning with the illegal harness racing on the A689!

Again, from Paul Rose last night at The Cluny:-

Yakkety Axe - sadly for Paul, no scantily clad lasses chasing him round Jesmond Dene… probably all owwer in Big Market
Theme from “Animal Magic” (Did you know,  it’s actually called Las Vegas? By Laurie Johnson & the Group Forty Orchestra)

Man of Mystery (part of a “suite” of Newcastle Music - never thought I’d hear The Shads played in The Cluny)
Sleepwalk (originally by Santo & Johnny but this take similar to one by Jeff Beck)

Theme from “Get Carter”

So, in the middle of Hartlepool, on stage at The Supporters, bet you don’t expect anyone to cover a Rhianna song…

Just one of the surprises from Ariel Posen’s mentee, 20y old Cathal Murphy. This young man is worth catching on the tour and keeping an eye on for the future.
