Hi there,have you checked out the Jay Tamkin Band yet, they are playing at Charters Bar ‘Blues@ The Boat’Peterborough,6th Sept starts 11-1am late night blues! the trio of Jay Tamkin 22, Pete & Nick are all the way from Devon, Jays just been signed to a German record label

See them at Blues @ The Red,Stevenage Sunday 7th September starts 9pm

Just checked them out on You Tube , sounds great , certainly knows his way round the Guitar !

Yes, they sound good. I had a look at the gig guide, but no gigs up my way as yet. Its promising that they are supporting Buddy Whittington (Mayall’s guitarist) and Pat Travers. I’ll keep an eye out for them, hopefully they can get on the back of a UK tour sometime.
So loveit, is it Ruff Records they have signed to?

Even the Jay Tamkin Band website says they have signed to a German record label, but does not mention which one. Some more information would be appreciated… Hope it goes well for the band though and they get the right promotion. Its good to hear younger talents like Jay and Oli Brown getting deals and a measure of recognition.

Also - great news is that they will be supporting the Billy Walton Band on their three London gigs in November.......
