If you’re interested, Howlin’ At the Moon is a good Disc to ease into Mr BB Chung King. I think it’s a greatest hit type disc - highly recommended!

bought Fleetwood Mac “Fleetwood Mac/Mr Wonderful” last week - 2 cds in one pack - some fantastic blues from the late 60’s with some great string bending by Peter Green on guitar - well worth a listen if you like your blues. You can see how later groups were influenced by this great blues band - also been listening to some greaT BB Chung King and now waiting for my Greg Koch Live on the Radio to arrive from the States.............

Whitesnake’s new album, Good To Be Bad.  My favourite band of all time still hits the spot.  DC’s silk-and-gravel voice; blues just how I like it, hard and thrusting; and all those oh-so delicious pinched harmonics.  Oh yeah, that’ll do it every time! tongue rolleye

Britbabe - My son’s favorite song at the moment Is your Boys’ Lay Down Your Love. You’re right D.C. is like a fine wine. His second fave ATM is Greg Koch’s Standing On Shakey Ground. Eldo - You WON’T regret you’re purchase. Regarding Mr. Green, I’ll definitely look into that album. Lately, I’ve come to the conclusion that Peter Green is, IMO , England’s greatest guitarist. That’s a high complement indeed considering the number of great English guitarists. And I might add that his influence is international.

Indy - not sure about Peter Green being the best guitarist, but Fleetwood Mac stuff from the late 60’s is well worth a listen if you get the chance - there are a few good vids on youtube too - there have been loads of great British guitarists since Peter Green, but he is well regarded from that time with the likes of Clapton, Page, Beck etc

I’d say he was certainly Britain’s best blues guitarist - certainly a better interpreter and song writer than Clapton (although both were never the same after about 1970). There’s an interesting contrast between Fleetwood Mac & Mr Wonderful - the first one has the better songs, the second one has more guitar playing on it. Have you heard Then Play On Yet? Danny Kirwan was on board by then and the album is quite jam orientated.
I’m still listening to some Rose Hill Drive. I’d like to be listening to the live Joe Bonamassa album but its release date has been delayed by a week here in the UK! :(

Eldo & Greenose - Can’t get Ton of Sobs but I can listen/get the above songs from a Greatest Hits collection. I let you know my take. About Peter Green, I should have stated it like Greenose and said best “Blues Guitarist”. The best of anything is always a subjective thing.
J.B.’s new album is supposed to be out today and I may get it. Speaking of great guitarists, I bought Steve Stevens’ latest effort Memory Crash and am real impressed. He does a great cover of Robin Trower’s Day of the Eagle, but it’s the shredding rock tune Small Arms Fire that’s incredible. My Son had to listen to it twice in route to School this morning. Both these songs are featured on his MySpace - worth a listen indeed.

Eldo - I’ve got three songs off The Grip; Spank It, Tonus Diabolicus and Blind Lemon Pledge. Spank It, if you recall, was the lengthy Zeppelin Jam on Youtube. The studio version includes none of that and is just so-so imo. I think Blind Lemon Pledge is the best song on that album. If Greg can somehow keep his current band together I think the sky’s the freakin’ limit. I hope it happens.
About Steve Stevens, he played with with Billy fairly recently for a VH1 Storytellers that’s one of my all-time favorite discs. Billy, drug free, older, wiser, and with a voice most would die for put together the his best recording to date. Steve’s play which was practically all acoustic, commplemented Billy perfectly. Sample Sweet Sixteen and let me know what you think.
Rose Hill Drive - I’ve been checking out this band per you Guy’s suggestion and I really like their music. Any particular song suggestions? Let me know.

The Day of the Eagle cover by Steve Stevens is on the free CD with the current edition of Classic Rock Magazine. Hope you like the RHD links I just sent. Got my ticket for them today.
