Hi,

I co-present a radio show on a station in the South West and online - the Varmint Show - which, whilst being fairly eclectic in terms of music policy, has a pretty strong vein of rock & blues running through what we do.

Over the last year or two we’ve done some really nice (for us at least) interviews with The Hamsters, Walter Trout, Joe Bonamassa, Virgil & the Accelerators & Joanne Shaw-Taylor and later this week we’re delighted to say we’ve got an interview booked with Aynsley.

So, I just wanted to

- say hi & introduce myself
- give you a heads-up on the interview which, assuming all goes according to plan, will air early to mid-April
- and ask if there are any burning questions the forum would like us to put to Aynsley?  If so, let me know, either on this thread or on .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

For more info on the show - go to http://www.varmintshow.net.

Regards,

Matt Varmint

Hi Matt, welcome to the forum. I spotted your name on here and wondered when we’d hear from you. I’m sure we’ll have a few questions for Aynsley.

You may find a little background to what we asked Aynsley in our own Q&A session here:

Guys as Martin will agree I can certainly recommend you give these guys a listen! smile

Hi Matt Welocmoe to the forum.

You might want to ask Aynsley whether the stage show is just an act for overcoming his natural shyness.

regards

I’m sorry there’s not been more suggestions from forum members on this, so I’ll run off a couple of possible discussion points, how the tour with IT Bites is going and how it came about, the live album - there’s been some discussion as it has no live audience, what his future plans are for the rest of the year. I’m sure those topics would be of interest. Hope it goes well…

Thanks Greenose,

... could you elaborate on the live album without an audience bit?!

Probably missed my chance to ask a question but I will pose it anyway just in case.

Current live band work so well together on stage and really look to be enjoying themselves up there - how did Aynsley meet the others and did things gel really quickly ?

Hope the interview goes well.

Thanks djam - no, not missed the chance - we’ll ask Aynsley for you.

Anyone else?

Matt

(BTW: we’ll keep checking this thread ‘till around 15.00 tomorrow)

Seems, that we are all struggling to squeeze some questions out of our brains.
Here are my - not very thrilling - questions:

I’d like to know what kind of music Aynsley likes and maybe one or two of his favourites bands/musicians.
When will the new live album be released?
Are there any plans to make a solo acoustic tour or to play a few solo gigs in Germany or Netherlands? Would love that.

Some further questions you could ask are;

Why doesn’t Aynsley use any 12 string guitars in his acoustic work?
How much does constant touring effect his voice, has he had any vocal problems?
I think Aynsley could do a cracking bluesy cover of “Tainted Love”, hoe does he feel about that??

Cheers

Phill

Forgot something. Actually it’s not really a question but a wish.
How about a jam of Aynsley and Midus?
