Finally announced

Jay Tamkin
Hokie Joint
Popa Chubby
The Hoax
Connie Lush
Primo Blue
The Stumble
Patrick Sweany
Geoff Achison
Justin Adams & Juldeh Camara
Gypsy Fire

I went on the Saturday last year and saw Ian Siegal & Imelda May who were great. Oli Brown and Matt Schofield also played there on Thursday evening.

I actually can’t go this year because of a clashing family event but to be honest Im not sure if I would have gone anyway? They have taken a long time announcing the line up and I think that the Glastonbury Blues/Jazz tent the following week has affected their plans. I heard King King were going to be there but are now at Glasto.

Big shame for the organizers, those in the know, how long has the Glasto thing been known about? Its more than annoying that it’s announced that the likes of Aynsley, Ian Seigal and King King are going to be there way after the event is already sold out.
Im pleased that Glasto has recognized that Blues music exists but is any thought given to smaller established events?

The Glasto thing has only been confirmed in the last few weeks, it has not been going on long. Of course any act is going to jump at that.

I’ve been told by “people who should know” that it’s not really sold out, because not all reservations will be taken up.

Hi Martin

I did get an e mail six weeks ago saying the line up would be announced the following week, it went live today.

Sounds like chaos behind the scenes and you’ll see from the website that they have No I repeat No artists for Thursday night. Grab it mate!

I have dallied with the idea of running a festival so am in danger of setting myself up for a big fall here but I do honestly feel for them. It was a great event last year and they’ve been mugged.

I know it’s a competitive world out there but……..

I agree with you Ian, you have to feel sorry for them. I went a couple of years ago when Aynsley played there and it really is a great little festival. I hope to get to at least the Saturday night this year to catch The Hoax and Connie Rush. I hope I can persuade my daughter to join me and maybe even the grandchildren and make it a real family affair.

By the way are you going to Aynsley’s gig in Farnham?

Hi Paul

Was really P’d when I heard that Victoria’s sisters 30th was on the main night so for my own safety I wouldn’t have been able to go to the Saturday anyway. In that regard as well as being disappointed I am also relieved. As mentioned there is no bands booked yet for Thursday night and Oli and Matt played there last year so there is an outside chance I may go to that if they have something worth a 80 mile round trip.

I owe Alan an apology in that I swear I read somewhere King King were going to be there and they had pulled out but he confirmed they were never scheduled to be there.

With Regard to Aynsley at Farnham a definitely maybe.

Point taken Martin, just been on BOTF website and seen you and boys opening up on Thursday. Any clues as to who is headlining? cos that is shaping up to be cracking night, VATA, Simon McBride plus one other.

Was going to go on Saturday and catch The Hoax, I am thinking I will have to try and fit in Thursday as well.
