Great show last night with Aynsley and the band on great form.

They opened with “With Me Tonight” and I’m pretty sure the following were all played (not in order) :

Running Out On Me
Sugar Low
What’s It All About
Soul
Hurricane
Balls Of Steel
Early Morning Dew

I’m sure there’s at least one song missing and they might have done Big Sleep but given I have been listening to Equilibrium and Upside Down all morning, I can now convince myself they played anything from those albums !

It was a bit tight on stage for the band but they seemed to be really enjoying it and there was a good size crowd in by the time the band hit the stage. Also felt like a lot of them (like myself) were there to catch Aynsley.

Made for a good atmosphere, with some good crowd banter and I thought the sound was actually better than it was for It Bites later in the evening. Really clear vocals and music whereas for It Bites it seemed a bit harsh at times.

Really enjoyed the set and for anyone who hasn’t seen the live version of Early Morning Dew, it’s a real treat.

Band really tight and simply get better every time I see them.

Thanks djam

welcome to the forum, you’ve obviously been aware of Aynsley for some time.

It’d be great if you could let us know how you first heard about Aynsley and cast a vote for your favourite track from Equilibrium (both links can eb found in teh top 10 posts)

I agree that the live version of Early Morning Dew great.

I expect it will be on the live Album due out later this year.

Regards

Good to see that after an absence of some time Soul has ended up back on the set list!

Thanks for correcting the set-list Simmo.

I initially wrote down In the Morning as set closer but talked myself out of it as it happened to be playing on the CD at the time and how could I forget Hero…...

Can’t even blame drink as I was driving, just have to blame old age and stupidity again !

Cheers

PS I was really pleased that Soul was played too - all the songs from Equilibrium are really working well live and I can’t wait to hear the live album.

Sorry for the delay in getting on here. Aynsley and the band performed a storming set for just 1 hour, mostly from Equilibrium. It Bites were good but TOO LOUD.They are a sort of reverse Genesis. Great musicians all of them.

Back to Aynsley, as mentioned earlier, the stage was cramped in this small venue, but the sound was perfect. Just can’t get enough of this band. Here’s couple of vids I shot.

Super vids Geoff - can even see myself in the audience as you pan round.

Come to think of it this constitutes my Youtube debut…....scary !

Great reminder of a great show.
