Well we’ve had a poll on the Favourite track from Equilibrium, now lets have a look at Upside Down which is another cracking Album from Aynsley and see which one is everyone’s favourute. I suspect I already know the answer…. but it is worth asking.
Enjoy!!!
1. Find My Way Home
2. Getaway
3. Always Tomorrow
4. Ice I’m Upon
5. Beautiful (Keiana’s Song)
6. Wherever I am
7. With Me Tonight
8. Rain
9. In The Morning
10. Upside Down
11. Disorderly Me
Good call BB! We can gradually go through them all in reverse order! Lets hope for lots of votes and comments on this thread first!
I still have a good fondness for Upside Down. It is was not the first Aynsley album I heard as I already had ‘Aynsley Lister’ at the time. However when I got Upside Down though I did find it much harder hitting and more like the style of music I wanted to hear at the time. I’ve chosen the first song that made an impact on me. The obvious one that BB hinted at came to me a little later, particularly when I heard it live.
Isn’t it funny that it’s less than three years since this album was released and the set list only seems to include two of the songs from this album?
I think we’d agree that one of them should always belong there. However it would be nice to hear some of the others too as there was some very good songs on the album.
They’re all great tracks, and I think that in years to come when people look back at Anysley’s back catalogue, this will be viewed as one of his best records. My favourite track is “Always Tomorrow” as it has some personal meaning. I don’t think it has a massive impact live but is my favourite.
Talking of live, I love “In the morning” as it really does showcase Anysley’s versatility. I know there have been a few comments before on different threads about it being a bit tired and could be dropped from the set list but I hope not. That fast paced slide style is even better now that Dan’s piano is underpinning it and I just love the sound he gets from that guitar when it’s played live.
So many strong tracks on this album - ‘fraid it’s no obvious choice for me.
So I’m just going to have to play it a few times over the next day or two if you want a vote from me.
One track on there I think is just superb, and has attracted a few negative comments on here is “Rain” (See Eldo - I do have a softer side ). We get too few accoustic numbers on Aynsleys albums these days. As to whether it’s my favourite, well that might well depend on my mood - tell ya in a day or two.
It probably is possible, but with the current set up I’d have to put about 120 options,
Perhaps a thread of what is your second favourite song might be another thread. I agree like equilibrium that there are loads of good songs on this album.
I guess it’s not possible, but I’d like an option where you can rate choices, ie one vote for one, two for another etc, then you could vote 4 or 5 times and I think the results would be far more interesting that way. By the way, why was Falling Down omitted? It’s one of the best
