Another thing that always gets me. Is we all have a go at artists and management (in a well meaning way). Then when someone does get it right and they go ballistic, we start moaning that its not the same as used to be!
‘I remember seeing him when there were only 20 people, those were the days’
‘I don’t like these big venues, its just not the same’
‘He no longer comes out for autographs’

They’re not all like that - we still go and see JB in bigger arenas and I’m sure we’d go and see Aynsley too - at least we were there at the beginning for some of these bands….......it’s a journey - to see Joe play at the RAH last year was magnificent and I’m sure most of us felt humbled to have been on part of that journey….....

Yes I agree with Eldo. I think that real genuine fans of Aynsley feel that his music is suited to larger stages than it is currently, and should he play the 1500-2000 venues that Joe plays at the moment most of us would be delighted to see it happen. We all have his autographs anyway! smile I’d also say I have little doubt also that is what Aynsley would like, remember the Q&A that he completed for us, he stated he’d like to play larger venues. So while I’m certain he is always happy to play live, let’s not start saying he/we should settle for the smaller venues. I’m sure Martin, that’s what you’d also want for Vigril too one day. Joe managed to get to the next level of popularity by attracting more of a rock crowd, without a major change in hos own sound, so that would seem to me the most obvious way for Aynsley to build his support.

Yes for sure and will be there, it just makes me chuckle when I hear those types of comments, as if it is a bad thing for someone to grow and be their best. You cannot please all of the people all of the time.

And nice to hear Aynsley is planning something a little more rootsy! smile

Rootsy is good to hear.
But I can’t found anything online.
Is this article in the magazine only?

Aynsley is such a fantastic song writer that whether it is rootsy or modern or even a blend it will be a treat.
