I spoke to the pub today, and the original intention was to hold this years beer festival (with music) in a Marquee, as the beer and music have become increasingly more popular in recent years. However, they couldn’t get the necessary approval from the local authorities and the beer and music festival will be held in the pub, and it’s grounds as it has been in recent years. This means Ayns will be playing again in the conservatory at the rear. For those who haven’t seen it, they take out the window panels of the conservatory, and the band plays inside to the assembled crowd on the patio/eating area. It’s actually quite neat and VERY up close and personal!! I would estimate the area would hold about 100 max (give or take), so the obvious thing is to come early, given the recent rise in Aynsleys profile.
Admission on the door is £8, and there are three or four bands on during the Friday that Ayns is playing. (17th)Obviously, if you buy beer tokens for the real ale part that is more wedge again.
For anyone going…see you there!!!!
