As Alan pointed out there is an exciting bill which involves Aynsley in November, plus some of the other guys we love to talk about on the forum:

Here are the details:

Looks pretty good in my opinion. smile

A few of us have spoken via email today and there is interest:

So, it’s Carlisle the weekend before for the Nimmos, Ian Siegal etc. then Leamington Spa.

That’s November sorted then!

Same as Cliff really, love the idea but bad time of year for splashing out - not just Christmas, but 5 immediate-family birthdays too! Yeah Yeah I know, lousy planning!

Kate and I would come for sure, If we can get an idea of how many hotel rooms are reqired I will get some quotes. The more rooms, the better the price. If folks are not fussy there is a travel lodge which are around £20 - £30 per night, somtimes £10 - £15. Not my first choice but they are clean.
If we can get a few rooms togther we may be able to bag a deal at something ‘posher’.

Hi Peeps
The real appeal of this idea, music aside,is to meet up with all you good people again and spend a bit more chill time gettin to know you all properly. As i said before the ol purse strings may need a bit of adjusting between now and then, even so ive looked into gettin there by coach(as i dont drink and drive-only drink  )£23 for a return(not bad methinks)gettin there friday 7pm and depart sunday 1pm,so with the £20 gig ticket it doesnt seem to bad, just need to sort out somewhere to get horizontal overnite,Mbcl let me know what you come up with my good man.so lets watch this space and fingers crossed we can all make it.

The good thing is that it’s six months from now, so we do have plenty time to plan and save before then smile
I expect I would come down Saturday morning and fly back Sunday morning, not too early though

Found a few hotels, within walking distance.
Travel Lodge £29 per night.
Best Western £80 per night.
2 - 3 smaller privately owned hotels £50 - £80 per night.
Once we have some numbers I can try for discounts.

As previously mentioned, I am spending the weekend in Leamington Spa in August as I am attending Fish’s weekend convention which is being held at the Assembly.

Myself and quite a few others are staying at the Lansdown Hotel which is a 2 minute walk from the venue and a 5 minute walk from the railway station….I think they also have some limited parking. It’s not the biggest but it looks Ok and comes recommended.

When I booked, the manager was keen for me to pass on details to other people who may be attending the convention so he may be woth having a word with.

Details at http://www.thelansdowne.co.uk

Hope this helps,

Gary
